High Performance Computing (HPC)  |
Monte Carlo research group
provides education in HPC through MSc courses Parallel Programming
with MPI (masters programme in Distributed Systems and Mobile Technologies at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics) and
Introduction to High Performance Computing (masters programme
in Nuclear and Particle Physics at the Faculty of Physics).
Both courses provide in-depth knowledge of programming distributed memory
machines using the MPI industry standard. Included are practical sessions
where students run their programs on Physon - a 112-core
HPC cluster located at Faculty of Physics. The course syllabus is available

Since the summer semester of 2008/2009 we provide an optional bachelor course Introduction to Parallel Programming. The program has been approved by the Faculty Council and is available here (in Bulgarian only):
